Manchester United Women head coach Marc Skinner has expressed his delight after his team's hard-fought 2-1 victory over Chelsea in the FA Cup semifinal on Sunday.

Two goals from Ella Toone and Alessia Russo saw the Red Devils come from behind to secure a spot in the final at Wembley Stadium.

Skinner praised his team's resilience and determination in overcoming a difficult challenge.

"We're absolutely thrilled to be in the FA Cup final," said Skinner. "It's a testament to the hard work and dedication of the players."

"Chelsea are a top team, but we showed great character and belief to come back from behind and win."

Toone opened the scoring for United in the first half, but Chelsea leveled through Sam Kerr in the second.

However, Russo's late header proved to be the winning goal, sending the traveling United fans into raptures.

The FA Cup final will take place on May 15, with United facing either Arsenal or Brighton & Hove Albion for the trophy.
